Montana auto claims and remote estimating
Request estimating support in Montana
Request damage estimating, supplements or desk review for an assignment in Montana. We confirm scope, evidence, applicable eligibility and remote suitability before acceptance. Field attendance requires separate confirmation.
Prepare the vehicle claim for review
Montana CSI hosts a consumer auto guide explaining policy coverage and the claim process. This is general consumer guidance, not a separate Montana promise that every repair, valuation method or expense is covered.
Keep vehicle identification, mileage, damage photographs, estimates and the relevant policy provisions in one file. When requesting a technical estimate review, identify whether the disagreement concerns repair scope, vehicle value, coverage or responsibility for the accident. Each issue needs different evidence.
How Montana consumer assistance can help
CSI recommends first reading the policy and raising the issue with the insurer or agent. If that does not resolve it, its complaint process can obtain the insurer’s explanation and review compliance with Montana law and policy terms.
A complaint receives a file number and assigned consumer advocate. CSI can require corrective action where the insurer failed to follow the applicable requirements, but it does not act as your lawyer or claims adjuster. Supply a concise timeline, the insurer’s decision and the documents supporting the disputed point.
Choose the service and evidence for your asset
Send unit identification, current location, damage photographs and the requested scope. Supplements need the baseline estimate and evidence for added operations; desk review needs specific questions.
Heavy trucks, trailers, agricultural or construction equipment, ATVs, boats and aircraft require asset-specific scope and fee confirmation. Auto rules do not automatically govern these assets. Estimating is not a safety, seaworthiness or airworthiness certification.
Estimating, policy appraisal and property valuation are distinct
A damage estimate does not appoint an appraisal-clause appraiser, umpire or adjuster. These roles have separate requirements. We do not decide coverage or guarantee payment.
Home and mortgage valuations require separate credentials, lender ordering and any applicable appraisal-management compliance. This page does not confirm an available real estate provider network.
