Ventura County vehicle and equipment estimating requests
Tell us what is damaged, where it is located and what you need prepared. California United Appraisals reviews Ventura County assignments for vehicle damage estimates, supplements and inspection requests, including equipment categories subject to scope review.
Vehicle information comes first
For a passenger vehicle, include its year, make, model and identifying details with an overview of the damage. For a truck, trailer or equipment assignment, identify the unit type and any attached components involved. Photographs should show the overall asset as well as the damaged area.
Do not assume a passenger-vehicle intake is sufficient for every type of equipment. We may request additional identification, measurements or supporting repair information before accepting a specialty assignment.
Find your location
Requests may involve Oxnard, Ventura, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Camarillo, Moorpark or Santa Paula. If your city is not listed, include it in the assignment request. This is a request directory, not a list of branch offices or a guarantee of an inspection appointment.
Choose the appropriate inspection method
A Ventura County field inspection can be requested by appointment, subject to location, safe access and availability. If photos and documents support remote preparation, we can review that option before arranging a visit.
Tell us if a vehicle or piece of equipment has been moved, is not accessible, or is held at a facility with appointment requirements. The current location and contact help us determine whether the proposed inspection can be arranged.
Useful documents for your request
The original estimate if one has already been written.
Clear overall and detail photographs linked to the correct unit.
Relevant repair documentation for the requested supplement or review.
A contact who can answer questions and arrange access.
Where to send the assignment
Use the assignment form for your contact details, the vehicle’s current city and state, and the work requested. Include an existing file reference when asking about a supplement. For document-delivery questions, contact claims@cu-appraisals.com. Send only material you are authorized to share and relevant to the assignment.
Choose the right estimating task
For body shops and individual third-party requesters, the published standard rate for a regular auto or truck initial estimate is $200. A supplement on a standard assignment is an additional $75. Estimates for 18-wheelers, tractors and trailers are $450. Insurance-company contract rates are negotiated. Other specialty scope and any inspection arrangements are confirmed before work begins.
Initial estimate: identify the vehicle and provide the available damage documentation.
Supplement: provide the current estimate and explain the newly documented damage or operations.
Requested field inspection: give the present location and the person authorized to arrange access.
