Orange County estimating and field-inspection requests
A useful damage estimate starts with the right assignment information. California United Appraisals accepts Orange County requests for initial estimating, supplemental documentation and field-inspection review, with scope and availability confirmed before work begins.
For a repair facility with an existing file
Send the original estimate and identify the work you want reviewed. A supplement should explain what has changed since the initial estimate, such as newly documented damage or additional repair operations. Include supporting photos and relevant documentation rather than only a total dollar difference.
If the vehicle is still awaiting disassembly or measurements, say so. An incomplete evidence package can require follow-up before the requested estimate can be prepared.
Find your location
Requests may involve Irvine, Anaheim, Santa Ana, Orange, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach or Fullerton. If your city is not listed, include it in the assignment request. This is a request directory, not a list of branch offices or a guarantee of an inspection appointment.
For an insurer or third-party requester
Identify the client, assigned contact, vehicle location and service requested. Carrier assignments can include file instructions and a preferred communication contact. Contract rates are negotiated separately from the published standard rates for shops and individual requesters.
A field visit may be requested at a repair facility or another appropriate location in Orange County. Appointments depend on availability, access and the assignment. Remote preparation may be considered when the documentation is sufficient.
Make the handoff clear
Use the same claim or reference number across estimates and photographs.
Identify the vehicle’s current location and access contact.
Separate an initial estimate request from an existing-file supplement.
Ask us to confirm the service method before assuming an inspection is scheduled.
Where to send the assignment
Use the assignment form for your contact details, the vehicle’s current city and state, and the work requested. Include an existing file reference when asking about a supplement. For document-delivery questions, contact claims@cu-appraisals.com. Send only material you are authorized to share and relevant to the assignment.
Choose the right estimating task
For body shops and individual third-party requesters, the published standard rate for a regular auto or truck initial estimate is $200. A supplement on a standard assignment is an additional $75. Estimates for 18-wheelers, tractors and trailers are $450. Insurance-company contract rates are negotiated. Other specialty scope and any inspection arrangements are confirmed before work begins.
Initial estimate: identify the vehicle and provide the available damage documentation.
Supplement: provide the current estimate and explain the newly documented damage or operations.
Requested field inspection: give the present location and the person authorized to arrange access.
