Utah auto claims and remote estimating

Request estimating support in Utah

Request damage estimating, supplements or desk review for an assignment in Utah. We confirm scope, evidence, applicable eligibility and remote suitability before acceptance. Field attendance requires separate confirmation.

Distinguish third-party claims

Utah’s third-party claim guide says a claimant is not required to use the insurer’s suggested repair shop and does not pay a deductible when claiming against another driver’s insurer. If that insurer denies liability or the amount remains disputed, the guide does not provide an additional mandatory appraisal process. Options can include applicable own-policy coverage or legal proceedings.

Document loss-of-use expenses

When an at-fault driver’s insurer accepts liability, Utah guidance describes reasonably incurred substitute transportation or rental costs during repairs. For a timely reported total loss, it describes payment through a reasonable settlement offer. Keep receipts and confirm the allowed period; do not assume an unlimited rental benefit or that your own policy has the same terms.

Choose the service and evidence for your asset

Send unit identification, current location, damage photographs and the requested scope. Supplements need the baseline estimate and evidence for added operations; desk review needs specific questions.

Heavy trucks, trailers, agricultural or construction equipment, ATVs, boats and aircraft require asset-specific scope and fee confirmation. Auto rules do not automatically govern these assets. Estimating is not a safety, seaworthiness or airworthiness certification.

Estimating, policy appraisal and property valuation are distinct

A damage estimate does not appoint an appraisal-clause appraiser, umpire or adjuster. These roles have separate requirements. We do not decide coverage or guarantee payment.

Home and mortgage valuations require separate credentials, lender ordering and any applicable appraisal-management compliance. This page does not confirm an available real estate provider network.
