Questions before you submit an assignment
Choose the service based on the work you need prepared, not just the name of the document. These answers explain assignment inquiries, estimating scope and standard rates for body shops and individual requesters. Contact us when a vehicle, location or service does not fit the standard scope.
Start with a brief inquiry describing the work you need and the documents already available. We will confirm the assignment scope and how to provide supporting material before work begins.
Start with a clear purpose
Tell us whether you need an initial estimate, supplement, existing-estimate review or inspection. Identify the requesting client and contact. Mention any estimate already available so we can understand the stage of the file and confirm which documents are needed.
Confirm the details before work begins
We review the vehicle or equipment category, location, available documentation and requested scope. Field appointments are subject to availability. Remote preparation is subject to suitable evidence and applicable requirements. A request does not create an inspection booking or a guaranteed completion time.
Common questions
What is the difference between an estimate and an appraisal?
A damage estimate describes repair costs and operations within its scope. The word appraisal can also refer to inspection-based damage assessment or to a separate value opinion. Tell us whether you need repair estimating or another service; market valuation, appraisal-clause and umpire work should not be assumed to be included.
What are your standard rates?
For body shops and individuals, standard estimates for regular auto and truck claims are $200. An additional supplement for those standard estimates is $75. Estimates for 18-wheelers, tractors and trailers are $450. Insurance-company contract rates are negotiated. Other specialty services require scope and price confirmation.
Can you prepare an estimate from photos?
We can review a photo-based request for suitability. Missing information, hidden damage or the asset type may require more documentation or an inspection.
Do you work nationwide?
Nationwide remote submissions can be reviewed. This does not represent nationwide field offices or automatic acceptance of every assignment.
Does the estimate guarantee insurer payment?
No. Insurance coverage, repair authorization and payment decisions are separate from preparing the agreed estimating work.
Can you guarantee same-day completion?
No blanket turnaround is promised. The requested deadline, documentation, complexity and availability must be reviewed for the assignment.
