Estimating support when your workload grows
An overloaded estimating desk can leave files waiting for attention. California United Appraisals works with body shops and insurance-company requesters to define support for initial estimates, supplements and related documentation.
Start with a brief inquiry describing the work you need and the documents already available. We will confirm the assignment scope and how to provide supporting material before work begins.
Start with the work you need off your desk
Tell us whether the immediate need is a small group of files, recurring assignments or additional supplement preparation. Include the vehicle mix, required format and the information your team can supply. We confirm availability rather than assuming unlimited capacity.
Create a repeatable handoff
Consistent intake makes the assignment easier to understand. Use an identified client contact, clear file references and organized evidence. A repeatable process can be agreed without requiring a promise of a particular software integration.

Keep your team informed
Agree how questions, missing evidence and additional work will be handled. A file that lacks adequate documentation may need more material before an estimate can be prepared. Do not assume that sending more files guarantees immediate completion.
Rates for shops and insurance accounts
For body shops and individuals, standard regular-auto and truck estimates are $200, with an additional $75 for a standard-assignment supplement. Estimates for 18-wheelers, tractors and trailers are $450. Insurance-company contract rates are negotiated. Other scope requires review before quoting.
Define responsibility at the outset
We identify the assigning client, intended use and requested deliverable. Estimating support does not itself authorize repairs, determine coverage or guarantee settlement.
Common questions
Can you take ongoing insurance-company work?
We can discuss the scope, requirements and negotiated contract rates. Availability and any onboarding requirements must be confirmed.
Can our shop send only supplements?
Describe the source estimates, supporting documents and expected work. We will review the scope rather than assume it is identical to an existing CUA file.
