Request inspection photographs for a defined assignment
If you need inspection photographs for an existing file, describe the asset, location and required views. California United Appraisals reviews the request as part of its field-inspection work and confirms whether the proposed documentation scope can be accepted.
State exactly what needs documenting
Tell us the asset, location and reason for the request. If an insurer or another assigning party has a photo checklist, provide it before the visit is arranged. A documented scope helps distinguish required views from material that is unnecessary or unavailable.
Separate photographs from an estimating engagement
Tell us whether the request is for photographs alone or also requires a written estimate. The agreed scope determines the deliverable. An inspection-photograph request does not include coverage analysis, a mechanical safety assessment or repair authorization.
Coordinate access safely
The appointment requires permission to access the asset and a suitable location. Explain any site restrictions, hazards or access limitations. Photographs should not require unsafe positioning or unapproved operation or disassembly of equipment.

Is a written estimate included?
Not automatically. Request estimating as a separate part of the scope if it is needed.
Can you document an asset at a body shop?
A shop visit can be requested with permission and safe access, subject to the location and appointment availability.
