Add documentation to an existing assignment
When additional damage or repair information becomes available, keep it connected to the original estimate. Use the existing assignment reference and explain what changed.
Before sending a supplement
A useful supplement request identifies the new condition, the affected estimate line or operation and the supporting evidence. A total alone is not enough to explain the change.
California United Appraisals assignment reference, if one exists
Original estimate and any previous supplement versions
Clear photos identifying the newly documented condition
Relevant measurements, invoices or repair documentation
A concise description of the requested additions or revisions
Send the file with its reference
Use the assignment form to provide the existing reference and identify the request as a supplement. Its optional upload field accepts up to five image or document files. For questions about larger files or delivery arrangements, email claims@cu-appraisals.com.
Supply only documents you are authorized to share and that are relevant to the estimate. Keep unrelated personal and financial records out of the submission.
Already working with another estimator?
Tell us whether this is our existing file or an estimate prepared elsewhere. Do not assume that a supplement submission automatically transfers responsibility for another firm’s estimate. We need to review the source material and define the requested service.
Keep versions understandable
Label documents with their date or version and identify the estimate you want reviewed. Distinguish information newly discovered during repairs from changes to information already supplied. This helps establish what needs to be assessed without confusing the file history.
Pricing and acceptance
For body shops and individual third-party requesters with standard regular-auto and truck assignments, an additional supplement is $75. Insurance-company contract rates are negotiated. Heavy-truck and other specialty supplement scope and pricing must be confirmed; the standard $75 supplement price should not be assumed to cover every asset.
After review
We may request clearer photos, further documentation or an inspection. A supplement is a documented estimate of additional work; it does not guarantee insurer acceptance or payment.
Common questions
Should I use this page for a first estimate?
No. Use Submit an Assignment for new work so the initial scope and contact information can be captured.
Does a photo prove every requested repair?
Not necessarily. Additional views, measurements or documentation may be necessary to understand the operation requested.
